MEECE, Oliver "Leo"

Age 85, of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1935, to the late Lula and Milford A. Meece in Pulaski County, KY. He retired after working many years as a self-employed insurance agent. In his free time, Leo enjoyed helping out behind the scenes at the Dayton Theater Guild and riding motorcycles. He was also avid in woodworking and created many wonderful pieces for his family. Leo started playing music at a young age with his siblings and, in his later years, he often performed at Canal Street Tavern. Leo always awoke with a song in his heart. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Avera, Terrilynn (Dan Drodge) Meece; grandchildren, Jennifer Devins, Jessica Towe, Stephen Devins, Joseph Towe, Hadley Drodge, David Towe, Kaylyn Drodge, Jenieva Drodge; great-grandchildren, Charlie Towe, Renessa Devins; son-in-law, Jim Devins; along with numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Along with his parents, Leo is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Isaacs) Meece; daughter, Cheryl Devins; and 10 siblings. The family will have a walk-through visitation at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. Englewood, OH) Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Due to
