Eileen SCHMIDT Obituary
Eileen Marie Schmidt passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. Eileen was born in Akron, OH, on September 29, 1951. She is joyously reunited in heaven with her dad, Joseph A. Schmidt, who passed away in 1959 when Eileen was only 7. She is
survived by her mother Agnes Schmidt, brothers Bob (Marylou), Jim (Carol), Tom (Debbe), Bill; and "baby" sister Renie Moore; 16 loving nieces and nephews; 26 great-nieces and nephews; her best friend Kay Rieve; and Kay's sons Pat and Kyle. When Eileen was a toddler the family moved to Springfield, OH, and became members of St. Teresa Catholic Church. She was a 1969 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a graduate of Miami Jacobs business school. Eileen had a long and successful career at The Ohio State Medical Board where she held the position of Executive Assistant to the Director until her retirement. While she had no children of her own, her nieces and nephews doted on "Auntie Leenie" and she spoiled them with her unique blend of humor, wit and mischief. She will always be remembered and adored.
Arrangements have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN who will assist the family as they plan to honor Eileen's life with an eventual celebration. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart or Diabetes Association. To leave online condolences visit www.scheodinger.com.

I Googled Eileen hoping to reconnect only to find this.
I am so sorry for the family's loss and for letting too much time pass before reaching out.
I have great memories of pizza, popcorn, ice cream, and movies on many a Friday or Saturday night.

My thoughts and prayers are with Eileen and the rest of the Schmidt family. I worked with Eileen at the Board and she had a great intellect and sense of humor. My sincerest condolences on her passing.
