Anne Gozum
Age 53 of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was born September 14, 1967, in Santa Ana, Pampanga, Philippines, the daughter of Dionicio and Nila Gozum.
Carmel was the Medical Director at TCN Behavioral Health and worked her whole life as a child psychiatrist. She was an avid tennis player and a
member of St. Luke Parish. She enjoyed traveling, cooking,
nature and spending time with her family. Carmel was a
loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Dionicio Gozum; mother, Nila Gozum; father-in-law, Crispin M. Flores; mother-in-law, Epifania G. Flores; and brother-in-law, Jaime Flores. Carmel is survived by her husband of 28 years, Will; children, Niko Flores and Victoria Flores; and brothers, Melchor Gozum and Babari Gozum. Visitation will be May 1, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a funeral service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).

She was my psychiatrist until I was 18. I was shocked when I heard the passing. I am now 21 and it's still hard to believe that she is gone. To anyone who didn't know her, you missed out on meeting an incredible woman. She was extremely great with medications I was prescribed on and great overall even outside of work. I don't remember much about the appointments I had. But I was grateful to meet such an amazing person.

My son and I are so shocked and saddened by this news. Dr. Flores has been such a help to us as my son has grown into his adolescent years. She has been his doctor for 7 years. She will be truly missed. Peace to her family and friends.

I worked with Carmel at the Greenwood Center in Springboro, OH. I remember her calming and welcoming presence with clients we shared. And we had many great laughs and shared conversations about the Philippines and Christmas baking. My deepest condolences to the family.

Dr Flores Thank you for everything you have done for me all my life. I will miss you. We were together for a long long time. You helped me so much. I have used the tools you taught me and will keep using them. You believing in me helps me believe in myself.

Dr Flores had been my psychiatrist for 7 years. She was very good at her job and she helped me tremendously. It was very shocking to find out about her passing away. But I send my thoughts and prayers to her family.

With Heartfelt Sympathy,
I knew Mrs. Flores to be a loving mother/parent. I had the privilege of teaching Niko and Victoria at St. Luke School. I appreciated her attentiveness, but also teaching of responsibility to her children. May she rest in heavenly peace and know of a “job well done” in her career and home life!

Dr. Flores has been my son's psychiatrist for 15 years since he was 4 years old. She has seen him through the super tough younger years and on to adolescence. Her care and knowledge has been instrumental in my son growing into the young man he is now. She would be so proud to know he is working now. He was going to tell her at his next appointment. I will miss her advice and humor as we worked to push my son into adulthood. Prayers for your family, friends and colleagues. You will be greatly missed.
