For some reason I was thinking of Miss Irie Tonight as I hadn't heard from her at Christmas this year and saw the obituary. I'm so sad to learn of her passing. I live in Maine so only got to visit when we went back to Ohio on occasion. She was my JVS teacher and I had told her several times how much I learned from her. I considered her a friend too. God bless her and I know we'll meet again.

My deepest sympathy to the Irie family. I just found out about her passing. She was my teacher at JVS. I was in the same class as Bonnie Brown Gladman. We exchanged Christmas cards every year. She had a strong abiding faith. I shall miss her very much!

Irie family. I was so saddened to learn about Miss Iris’s passing. She was my teacher from 1970-1971 at JVS. I kept in touch with her mostly by email & I visited with her. Here is the last picture of us. I will miss her dearly. I put her obituary out on my Facebook page for the rest of students to be notified. R.I.P. my dear friend.
