My mother, Clara Prewitt Stith was Gene's older sister. I have fond memories of my Uncle Gene and my mother laughing together on his many visits to our home in Cincinnati when I was a young girl. May he, and she both rest in peace.

Gene was always a great guy, fun to be around ... I´ve known him since 1986 when I started my job in the Middletown Police Dept. He was my brother-in-law for years. He was always kind, always had hugs for me. He loved my potato salad and every time I make it, I always think of him. Gene will be missed by a lot of people. Gene was a Godly man who loved everyone, especially Jesus. May the Lord watch over Sean Paul and keep him safe and healthy, after so many losses he has endured in his young life. Rest In Peace Gene.

Gene always had a big smile and a quick grin. He was one of my first senior officers that I worked with and he taught me a lot. Just a great partner to be paired up with. Gene was actually from Lilly Kentucky just south of London,KY where we both had relatives. Just a good guy !!!!!

He will be missed. I saw him once a month when he faithfully brought his tithe to the Oasis church. He always asked how me and my family was doing. He prayed many times for us.

Condolences to all who will miss Gene here on earth. He was one of the greatest men I ever knew. He spoke often of the love of Jesus for us. Every time I seen him he wanted to know how my children were and was a fervent prayer warrior for their well-being as well as mine. He was a true example of a Christ follower: true honest upright in all his dealings. The last time I seen him I was encouraging him to take good care of himself... he said "the worst thing that could happen is I´d be with my Jesus... and that isn´t so bad is it ?" RIP
