Kimberly MULKEY Obituary

MULKEY (Robe),

Kimberly Diane

54, passed away September 20, 2021, at Springfield Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1967, in Springfield, Ohio. Kim graduated from Kenton Ridge High School in 1985 where she was an avid member of the band, playing almost every instrument. Kim loved spending time with her friends and family and had many memories of long bicycle rides and weekends camping.

Kim worked for Emro Marketing/Speedway for 16 years where she met her husband and love of her life, Sam, and created many lifelong friends. She left Speedway for her favorite job, which was to be the best mom! She was a member of Central Christian Church where she worked as the Office Manager for several years alongside some of her dearest friends. Kim put her faith into action. She was the kind of light that you only get from Jesus. She was kind and went out of her way to make everyone she came into contact with feel loved.

Kim consistently put others needs ahead of her own and was always thinking of new ways to make someone's day. The

extent of her generosity and kindness cannot be put into a few words. Many weekends were often spent delivering

Cheryl's Cookies or Young's Ice Cream to make someone smile. Kim also loved planning get-togethers to make special memories with others, especially in their time of need.

Kim showed her love to every animal. Over the years, she rescued many dogs but also found joy in feeding vanilla Oreos to our backyard friends - squirrels, birds, and rabbits.

She is survived by her parents, Ned and Judy Robe of Springfield; husband of 26 years Sam; children Samuel Dean III and Karli Breana, brother Larry Ray (Joanne) Powell of Theodosia, MO; sister, Tami (Jim) Kindelberger of Springfield; sisters-in-law Dawn Robe of Leonardtown, MD, and Cindy Johns

Powell of Benson, AZ; mother-in-law Judy Hall of Springfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and countless friends that became family; and her best friend

Marlene Sisler. She was proceeded in death by her brother Todd; grandparents Bill and Eileen Beekman; grandparents Eugene and Marjorie Robe; special aunt and uncle Carl and Bernadine Anderson; father-in-law Norm Hall; special cousin Shelley Mulkey (who Kim became guardian for); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Singh, Dr. Kutwal, Dr. McQuillen, Dr. Gabbard, and Dr. Oehlers as well as each of their staff members for the intimate and wonderful care they have provided. An additional thank you is extended to the staff of Springfield Cancer Center as each of you went beyond caregiving to become Kim's friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 25, at 1:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Carl Ruby officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to SASS Rescue ([email protected]). Checks can be sent to SASS Rescue. 4450 Storms Creek Rd. Urbana, OH 43078) or Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark County, PO Box 2852, Springfield, OH 45501. Online

I haven't seen or spoken to Kim since working with her at Speedway almost 20 years ago, but my memory of her is very strong. She was such a positive and likeable person to be around.

I am so sorry for your family's loss.

I first met Kim back at EMRO Marketing in 1990. I know there are no words that can bring any real relief from the grief your family is suffering right now. Just realize there are more lives than you can imagine which have been bettered by knowing Kim, and for all of the smiles she shared with those people who had the privilege to have met her. Many of those same people are here for you now, as needed, in your time of devastating loss. With deepest sympathy...

My prayers are with the family at the passing of Kim. She was a wonderful parent and volunteer at Donnelsville Elementary when her children were young. She was an inspiration to all of us.

My heart is so sad to hear of Kim´s passing. She was one of the sweetest souls and definitely one of the smiles that I looked forward to seeing at the bank. But, I do know that she is in our Heavenly Father´s presence right now. Praying for her family and friends through this very difficult time. I can´t express enough how sorry I am for your loss.

Dear Family, I am so saddened for you and my heart, thoughts and prayers will continue to lift you during these difficult times.
Thank you Lord for such a wonderful gift. Heaven just became a little better. I am grateful Kim for your selfless energy that you gave to all. Your light has shown beyond the distance that our eyes can see. Hands and feet of Christ were a part of your tapestry. True appreciation for your time and talent seem to come up short when saying thank you good and faithful servant. Your infectious smile and kindness will forever be a part of every heart that were privileged to come across your path. May you enjoy your reward without blemish, sickness or pain. I know you have been welcomed with open arms from the many who have been awaiting your arrival. Love you and see you soon.

Our heart breaks for the Mulkey/Robe family. She was taken far too soon. She was one of the first people to welcome us to Central Christian Church. She was as kind as they come. We will be praying for all of you through this difficult time.
