My heart goes out to all those that Brett touched, especially to his family, who were the center of his world.
I spent so many hours side by side with Brett in the last year. I don´t know at what point my boss became my friend, but I will miss his friendship, his sarcastic sense of humor, and all the laughter.
His ability to stay positive in the middle of negative situations was super human. It became a joke between us. On the days I had the worst attitude, he would tell me to "channel my inner Brett". That meant to be positive, be kind, and be the best that you can be.
I will always cherish the memories and try to remember to listen to my inner Brett trying to bring the best out in me.

My sincerest condolences to the Swaisgood family. Brett was one of my best childhood friends and there are countless memories we shared. From being on the same soccer team for a number of years, to backyard football, sleepovers and playing songs on their jukebox, Indiana soccer camps and being away from our parents for the first time, riding bikes to cork and bottle, climbing trees and Brett getting stuck Bc he was too nervous to climb back down, I can go on and on. Heaven got a great person, but it was definitely too soon.
