I was so upset hearing of Bob´s passing. In the time I cared for him at the Laurels, we became friends. Such a wonderful man. I´m sorry I just heard. My heart goes out to Kathy and the family. He will be missed, may he rest in Heaven. God bless you all.

Kathy and family, a very-belated note of sympathy for your loss. When I saw the obit and later date for gathering I had plans to attend and express my sympathy. I lost track of dates and realized too late that I had missed the gathering. The judge and I didn’t always agree, but Ivalued his insights and admired his dedication to his family, church and his responsibilities as a judgemMay God comfort, guide and strengthen you in the days ahead. Remember that death is not the last word about life. Pastor Jim Miller

I want to extend my deepest condolences to Alysse and the Rettich family. As a new lawyer I often found myself anxious in the courtroom. Judge Rettich always made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I will miss his kindness, wit and overall compassion. He was one of a kind. Rest well, Judge.

It was my honor to meet Judge Rettich while working as a police officer. I found him to be honest, kind and compassionate to others. We often talked about gardening, I enjoyed sharing pictures of my gardens with him. My thoughts and prayers are with family during this difficult time, may God hold you near.

After reading his obit, I realized how amazing he really is. It seems unattainable to have accomplished all of that in one lifetime. Yet, he will be remembered not for his greatness, but for his love. That's the mark of a truly great man. May God grant you peace.

Judge Rettich was always so friendly and welcoming to the students from Miamisburg High School that performed job readiness skills for the Court's Clerk. We often sat in his courtroom and watched his interactions with the public appearing before him. He was a very personable and fair judge.

I had the pleasure of Judge Rettich practicing law as defense counsel in the Franklin Municipal Court for many years prior to him taking the bench. A true gentleman. Was proud to call him a friend.

So very sadden to hear of Judge (Bob) Rettich's passing. I have only know Judge Rettich to be a respectful, responsible, gentleman. I am grateful for the opportunity to have attended H.S. with Bob, and observed him serving the Germantown and surrounding communities from that deep love and respect. It was always a pleasure to run into Bob, even for a brief moment. My deepest condolences to his beloved Kathy, and family, as well as many close friends. Judge Rettich, you will truly be missed, and much gratitude for all the ways you so willingly served!
