Susan JACOX Obituary
Age 93, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Susan was born February 22, 1929, to the late William and Margaretta Fowler. Also preceded in death by her husband, William Jacox. Susan is survived by her sister Margaretta F. Kirkpatrick, nephew Bradley R. Kirkpatrick, nieces Rebecca S. Matheny, Kathy Jacox Box, and Judy Jacox Dandison, 6 grand-nieces and nephews, and 3 great-grand-nephews and niece. A memorial service for Susan will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at South Dayton Presbyterian Church, 1180 E. Alex Bell Rd., Centerville, Ohio 45459. Sue was a missionary in Australia for a term before she met and married her late husband, Bill. They volunteered at a children's Bible camp every summer and were involved greatly in their church, Bill as a greeter who never forgot anyone's name and Sue playing on the organ/piano. When my parents came to know the Lord, Bill and Sue invited them to a Bible study. Sue also hosted a ladies prayer meeting for missionaries every Monday for decades which I shared at numerous times. As she grew older, Sue continued ministering by accompanying on the piano at worship services at Bethany Lutheran. I will miss her sorely for even though she was my father's age, she was a dear friend and mentor.

Sue was a woman of God like no other. She was always so very kind, and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. When I needed encouragement, she was there. When I needed a reminder of God's faithfulness, there she was. And when my daughter needed affirmation and love, she knew what to do. When she prayed, things happened. There have been very few women like Sue. She will be sorely missed. But - what a celebration is going on in heaven!!
