There have been many great moments with Jim and other members of "The Band of Brothers," were a unique group. They regularly would have get togethets, and meetings plus share their WWII experiences with generation after generation here and in Europe. Jim and others were active to their final moments. "PeeWee" will be long remembered by all of us who knew and loved him. Due to my father also being one of the 101st Airborne Easy Company, we were fortunate to see Jim at many functions throughout the decades. Sir, rest in well earned peace. AIRBORNE! Currahee! Condolences to the Martin family. Virginia

Jim & Donna were classic American patriots. I treasure our many visits with them both at the Toccoa reunions. Here is Jim jumping in Holland in 2019. The same drop zone as in 1944.

To the Martin family, It has been my pleasure to know and to have worked with Jimmy, as well as knowing Donna over the years. I relish our talks, either over the phone or especially in person sitting in his living room or out on the front porch, as well as the lessons I have learned from him. Other than my own father, Jimmy was the most positive role model I could have had in my life. Though he shunned the term "hero," he was one to me. I hope I am able to pass on his message to others. God Bless you Jimmy Martin!

Jim and I worked together on many police and fire levies in the 1990s to the early 2000s. But I remember Jim most for coming to my house for a meeting and upon entering immediately took off his shoes and plopped down on the floor to play with my silly boxer dog . That´s Jim for you!
Jim was also known as Pee Wee due to his height... but he always stood taller than any man in the room. Rest well, soldier.

To Jim's family.
Please accept the condolences of a stranger.
I never met Jim, and only briefly corresponded with him via Facebook, but I feel privileged to have made this brief acquaintance.
He was clearly a kind man and I much value the signed photo that he sent me.
I am but one of many people around the world whom he touched.

I was fortunate to have met Pee Wee a couple years ago and have visited him several times at his home. He always had time to chat and was willing to talk about anything at all. Sitting with him, just the two of us, talking about the war, his family, politics, etc.. is one of my most treasured memories. Rest easy sir!
