Roger and I were drafted together May 6 1970 and were sent to Fort Leonard Wood. In the Reception Station you receive all the gear you will need. We traded fatigue pants. His fit me better and mine fit him better. Now I had a button fly and him a zipper. We ran into each in Vietnam at Long Bien, when I and another soldier came from Cu Chi looking to scrounge c-rats for men of the Fifth Group Arvn Rangers returning from Operation Lam Son 719. Neither recognized the other at first. We both had grown mustaches. We had a short breif reunion. We both made it home. He was a good friend. Sorry to hear of his passing. REST IN PEACE ROGER and bless his family.
