I had the pleasure of working with Jerry on the SFRD. Jerry was a consummate professional and dedicated to the department and city. Jerry did many projects for the Fire Department that saved the citizens of Springfield many dollars. Jerry was a very good person and great to work with and be around. Always had an idea and followed on those ideas to help the department and fellow firefighters in many ways. It was a pleasure to be around him and learn from him and believe me, he will be missed by his "brothers" on the Fire Department.

It was my pleasure and honor to care for Jerry! I will miss his wit and his smile most of all (his ornery smile) Jerry made me smile most days with his sense of humor. We will miss him dearly.....P Wiant lpn
