I knew David well
He was a good Honor Guard Commander and friend. We handled many services for VFW post 8312, and I am one of the Honor Guard members that served with him. I am now the Honor Guard commander for VFW Post 8312 and I have been now for 8 years. I will always remember David every time that we do an Honor Guard service. Rest in peace brother Martin.

For a number of years I was a member of the color guard at VFW Post 8312. Marty, as ha was called, was in charge of the color guard maintaining the rifles we used for the 21 gun salute and maintaining our account with David's Uniforms in downtown Dayton. Marty was a good man. He seldom spoke of his family.
Good by Marty. Your watch I'd over and it is now time to rest.
