Our prayers and thoughts go out to Mike Jr. and Tobi. Mike touched countless people in the Springfield community with his wit, wisdom and passion as he announced games for South H.S. and Springfield H.S. over the years. He was always there to help administer the athletic events and would help in anyway he could. He has a place in the long history of the Springfield City Schools. He was a true WILDCAT and will be missed by all.

Mr. Cooper was one of the most positive, memorable adult role models I remember in high school. He was a great mentor to many- everyone respected him so much. Even as children he talked to us with respect and led with empathy and compassion but he still stood strong on his values and expectations for us- he was just a breath of fresh air for me whenever I would see him as our substitute teacher or if he was in charge of supervising us. So sorry for your loss. He was definitely loved and made an incredible impact on everyone he interacted with! We all loved Mr. Cooper.
