John was the best neighbor a person could ask for. I had many conversations out in our back yards with John. He was an amazing human; helpful, kind, and always positive. I could tell he loved his family as he often talked about them during our many chats. If anyone deserved to live to 103, it was John. I think of him often and share with people how lucky I was to know him. May he rest in peace with his beloved Mary who he cared so much for.

I used to go out to lunch once a month with John and other members of Roncalli Newman. He always ordered a "toasted cheese sandwich." I loved hearing his stories about being in the Service. May the angels lead him into paradise.
