Thinking of you, Janel, on my leap-year birthday! You were among less than a handful of people who remembered my birthday on 2/29. I will celebrate my birthday today by lighting a candle and going down the fond memory lane with you, Janel!
I remember the first time I met you in early 1980s in Fullerton, CA. Your Mom and I worked for the same company and it was a company event that you were there, too! You were a kid with the brightest angel-face that I had seen and that contagious smile which remained with you throughout your adulthood.
Last time I saw you was on your High School Graduation Day. Later that day we went out to a restaurant to celebrate your achievements. I feel so lucky to have known you, Janel! So sad that it was the last time I would ever see you.
I was delighted when you found me on Linked-IN few years ago and we stayed in touch. I am so sorry that you went through such a rough time health-wise! You were so thankful of those surrounding you for taking care of you when you needed them. Even in your darkest hour, you were the Janel that I had the privilege to know growing up: Kind, polite, funny, full of life and laughter, considerate, and pet-lover! Oh yes! I was around when "Boo" was your pet-du-jour!
Rest in peace, dear Janel! You will always have a special place in my heart for as long as I live!
Theresa! I am so sorry for your loss! Janel's loss must be devastating! She mentioned to me how you became her caregiver at the end, and how grateful she was for it.
Gayle: Janel told me that she felt lucky to have found you, and having you in her life! So sorry for your loss! I know you don't know me, but I knew of you through Janel.
