Avarita Hanson Obituary
Celebration of Life Service for Avarita Laurel Hanson, Esq. will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Cascade United Methodist Church, 3144 Cascade Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30311. Rev. Dr. Kevin R. Murriel, pastor. Her body will lie instate at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 AM. Interment Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
Avarita Laurel Hanson is survived by her husband, William A. Alexander, M.D.; son, Justin Hanson Alexander (Tamu Brown, M.D.); son, Colin Hanson Alexander; grandson, William Bragg Alexander; sister, Karen Hanson; many nieces and nephews; the extended Hanson and Alexander families and scores of close friends. Rita was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Iona Hanson Warren.
On Thursday, public viewing will be held from 1 - 3:00 PM at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel. Wake Service from 5 - 7:00 PM at Cascade United Methodist Church. Service can be LIVE Streamed by viewing https://vimeo.com/event/4062791

Avarita was such a force in this life, it´s hard to believe that she is gone. But that force remains-she has touched so many of us in so many ways. Our hearts go out to her family. Such a loss.
