age 84, departed this life on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. He is survived by many loving family and friends. Graveside service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday April 23, 2024 at Dayton National Cemetery-Assembly area B.

Craig and Julia, Please accept my sincere condolences at the passing of your father. As you already know, your father and mother were two very special people. When I had the privilege of knowing your mother for many years before she came to work at Dayton Public Schools and then supporting her when she was Superintendent, I also got to know your father. He was always there to support her. It was so easy to see the great love and respect they had for each other. I always said if I could have only one word to describe your mother, it was "gracious." It was also a perfect word to describe your father. Now they are back together wrapped in God´s loving arms.
