Remember many a family reunion with Ron, Marilyn and his kids. In fact, I was closer in age to his kids than I was to Ron! Ron will be greatly missed!!

I was a younger cousin of Ron so our paths never really crossed except at the Grandparents house on Christmas day. I can see by the love and outpouring that Ron was a man of fine character and I will think of him and his family everyday. See you someday, Ron.

My son and Ron's grandson played AAU Basketball together in Jr High. One day, I happened to sit next to Ron for one of their many summer games---I had never talked to him before in my life. By the end of that game, I felt like I had known him all of my life. What a personable, friendly, funny, and humble man! We became fast-friends and always sought each other out at all future games. He was always so quick to greet me with a smile and a warm handshake. Ron reminded me so much of my long deceased grandfather. I will miss you, my friend. RIP

Ron stands out as one of the finest individuals I've had the privilege to meet within the construction sector. He leaves a void that will be deeply felt and greatly mourned. I will miss him.

I knew who Ron was all of my years as a contractor and competitor. He brought integrity to our profession. It was not until he was diagnosed with multi myeloma that I began communicating with him. I have been fighting the same cancer for over 13 years. Sharing our experience's in fighting the cancer helped both of us. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to his wife Marilyn and his entire family.

Marilyn, sending my condolences. Goodness, Ron gave his heart and time to many people including you. Such a legacy! Now, he is with God the Father who loves him too. I know my Dad, Tom Huelsman, will be happy to see him as well up in heaven. My Dad and Ron were best friends. Psalm 23. Love and Hugs, Bridget

I have heard it say that people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. For me, Ron came for a season when he took a seat at the board table along with me and the other directors of Minster Bank. Until then, I only knew of Ron from conversations at board meetings and from social interactions at the Piqua Country Club. Over the years, Ron and I became good friends and together we shared the responsibility to add some levity to the otherwise somber discussions around the Bank’s board table. Our friendship continued when he retired and lasted up until his passing. I am sure that there are many in the Minster community who counted him as a friend and I am saddened to join with them in say that truly he will be missed. Ron was one of the good guys and I am so happy that fate brought us together if only for a season. Nettie and I extend our sympathies to Marylin and to Ron’s extended family. Rest in peace my friend.

What an impact both Ron & his dad made such an impact on our lives. The Freytags and the Dorstens were both part of so many building projects in and around Minster. What a team they made! Our deepest sympathy to Marilyn and her family. Ron will be missed.

Ron was my first cousin and there were over 30 of us and growing up we would spend every Christmas Day over at our Grandparents house and later in life we had Dorsten family reunions as often as we could. Ron was a favorite of everyone because he had such a great sense of humor and he would have all of us laughing. He and Marilyn were at the reunion just last summer. All of us cousins are going to miss Ron so much!

It is obvious that Ron lived a life with a servant's heart. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. May God fill your hearts with a peace that surpasses all understanding over the coming days and months.

Remember Ron living in st henry as neighbors. He was so nice to all of the younger kids and we played lots of games in his yard with the Sycamore street kids. He was the oldest and I was the youngest. So friendly when we saw him in minster. What a great guy. Loved his parents too. They were gems

I have known the Dorsten family for quite a few years now. But I came to know Ron more in the last eight years. Ron always made me smile and had a lot of fun stories to share. He was a great client. He gave good advice, and I considered him my friend. He will be greatly missed hugs and prayers for the family. Rest in peace, Ron.
