Allen Carter Obituary
Celebration of Life Memorial Services for Mr. Allen B. Carter will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church, 105 Courtland Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., service will be held at 10:00 AM before the memorial service. The family will receive friends on this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Road SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30331, (404) 349-3000. Live streaming will be available on Saturday at www.murraybrothersfh.com.

I love you so much . I didn´t know so this is fresh . I just listened to a voicemail you left me on June 8th. I will never forget you. I won´t forget the first time we hung out and I said something about a slight republican vote and you walked out the restaurant . Over the years we got so close . My heart is broken and I will never ever forget you. Thanks for my bottle of Talero. Your dreams were big. In the prime of your life. I am crushed it´s hard to understand. You were a star. I will forever remember the welcoming spirit of Bin when seeing him at Church. I always felt he was happy to see me. He had a wonderful presence. It seems he grew up so fast. When he returned from Howard, he was so confident in our presence. While it´s hard to believe such a life can be extinguished so quickly, I know that God has a Master Plan. So, live on in spirit, Bin, and rest in peace. Mac Hunter

I became acquainted with Bin more than two decades ago after he was introduced to me as a Beta brother. We got to know each other well and met up at different events. I knew him as an astute businessman and a congenial individual. I´ll miss his smiling greetings. Farewell dear Brother, Transcendent are thou; thy spirit shall dwell with us now....

I only knew Ben for a short time, but, in that time, a tremendous impact was made. I grew and learned so much about myself thanks to him.

I could always count on Ben to send a message when my beloved Eagles would lose a game. I, in turn, would do the same when the Falcons lost. This all started when his team lost a game and I called to say, without even a hello, "Did the Falcons play today??" in a Steve Urkel kind of voice. It became a running joke for us. Homecomings will not be the same without you, Ben. To the Carter family and all who loved Ben, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Rest well, my Bison Brother.
