Horace Boesch Obituary
passed away Tuesday, August 6th at St. Leonard Center in Centerville, OH. He was born February 2nd, 1932 in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace J. Boesch Sr. and Roxy (Rose) Boesch, his wife of thirty-four years Sue Ellen (Anderson) Boesch, brother Joseph (Natalie) Boesch and sisters Barbara (Bernard) Wannemacher and Paulita Boesch. He is survived by his daughters Karen (Robin) Shadowens, Susan Trangenstein, son-in-law Jeff Trangenstein, his first wife Pat (O'Hara) Boesch, three grandchildren Ashley (David) Harrison, Carly and Allison Trangenstein, along with many other family members and friends. Jack attended the University of Dayton and graduated in 1954. Jack served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and then went on to work in Real Estate, earned his brokers license and founded his own firm, Boesch Realty in Bellbrook, OH. He later joined Heritage Realtors (now Heritage Realtors Coldwell-Banker) as a partner where he stayed until his retirement in 2012. Jack was an avid UD fan – he was a Men's Basketball season ticket holder from the days in the fieldhouse until the present day. Jack never met a stranger, anytime you were in a social setting with Jack he would run into people he knew. Jack loved to travel, he and Sue saw much of the world however one of his favorite places was the beach in Longboat Key Florida. He was a long-time member of St. Albert the Great Church in Kettering. A gathering of family and friends for Jack will be held Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429 and Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to: The University of Dayton in memory of Jack.
