ROUGIER, Martha Mary age 72, of Dayton, Ohio passed Thursday, August 15, 2024. Martha was the youngest daughter of the late Harry Rougier and Kathrine Rougier. She was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Kay Kline and Janet Barry and two brothers Peter and John Rougier. Martha is survived by her sister Julie Zeccola (Frank) and brother James Rougier (Ann), and a host of loving nephews and nieces. The family would like to express our gratitude to the workers at The Sanctuary at Wilmington Place and the Legacy of Miamisburg. Their care and kindness went a long way to make Martha as comfortable as they could be. Martha had suffered from dementia for the last few months. Without their care and concern Martha would have had a hard way to go. They were and are the heroes of our healthcare system. Martha spent most of her life in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Holy Angels and Corpus Christi elementary schools. She graduated from Julieann High School in 1970. Martha worked at various jobs throughout her working years. She made friends easily and was a hard worker wherever she worked. Martha was also a great lover of dogs and cats. She had many dogs and cats during her lifetime. Martha had many special longtime friends throughout her life. These people were always willing to help her when she needed their help. I know she always treasured their friendship and kindness they displayed toward her. Martha always talked about what they did for her. There will be a visitation Friday August 30th from 9:00 to 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:00 am all at Corpus Christi Church located at 527 Forest Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45405. Martha will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to any of the following: ADAMHS Board, 409 E.
