Gary was a very good friend to me. He always visited with me, bringing the jokes, he was always so giving to me bringing me breakfast, lunch, coffees, and there was a time he gifted me Dragons tickets to take my children to a game. It was much needed in that time of my life & I will never forget his heart to be so kind. He talked a lot about his daughter, and grandchildren. They meant the whole world to him. Oh I will miss you my friend. Prayers and love to the family.

Gary always leaned into our (Dayton Warriors Softball Fund & VVA Chapter 97) challenge of fund raising for the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team. Go anywhere, approach anyone, ask for help and his efforts consistently paid off in generous donations from this terrific veteran-support community in and around Dayton. Proud veteran and great partner to the many causes within the veteran community. RIP...well earned.

May God accompany Gary to his new home. I did not know Gary but I also served in Vietnam... as a fellow vet, I say to Gary, "RIP". To his family, I wish fond memories of a brave American. My condolences.
