MILLER, Lawrence J. "Larry"

LAWRENCE J. "LARRY" MILLER, age 94, of Springboro and formerly of Centerville, passed away on December 6, 2024. He was born on March 18, 1930, the son of Roy and Anna Miller. Larry was a graduate of Chaminade High School, Class of 1948 and later graduated from Miami Jacobs Business College in 1950. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He spent his career as Treasurer and Sales Manager at Tait, Inc., later working as a sales manager at Transamerica and Wisconsin Power, spanning a remarkable career from 1953 until his retirement in 1990. Following his formal retirement, Larry served as the President of his own Manufacturer's Representative Organization, L.M.A., until retiring again in 1994, upon which he spent his time working with the Centerville-Washington Township Parks District until 2008. Larry leaves behind his daughter, Lori (Steve) Earman; son, Dirk (Paula) Miller; four grandchildren, Bill McKinley, Molly Headley, Derek and Daulton Miller; six step-grandchildren, Tia, Ryan and Michael Earman, Ashley McCoy, Jason and Michael Maize and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; infant daughter, Lisa, along with his brother, Lee Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Larry's honor on Thursday, December 12, 2024 in the Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:30 to 11:30am prior to mass. A private inurnment will take place for the family on Friday in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
