Marcinna Brown Obituary

Brown, Marcinna I. "Marcy"

BROWN, Marcinna I. "Marcy", 72, of Springfield, her journey on this earth ended on January 1, 2025 and she is with her King in heaven. Marcy was a very devoted wife, mother and friend. When you talk of someone who is a hard-worker, you could see her picture in the dictionary. My mom lived unconditionally and was always supportive, even when I had not so good idea. Marcy was married to my father, John W. Brown for 49 years. She dearly missed him when he left this earth on Dec. 15, 2014. There was always a hole in her heart that only he could fill. We as a family had lots of laughs and the "twinkle in her eyes" was for her grandkids, Elizabeth and Jacob. They would spend the night and help grandma make spaghetti. Survivors include one son, Chris & Erica Brown, Springfield; a brother, Steve & Kathy, Springfield; sisters, Sharon & Doug Hopkins, Florida, Sandra Walker, Pam & Gary McKenzie and Diana Gladman, all of Springfield and many nieces and nephews and her deal lifelong friends, George & Connie Roach. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Foster & Mabel Gladman and her twin sister, Marsha Speaks. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to New Beginnings Church or Good Samaritan Outreach Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in New Beginnings Church, 427 W. Washington St., Springfield, OH 45506. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

Though I never met Marcinna her kindness was extended to me in the form of her baked zucchini bread Chris brought to our Christmas carry in to which I had a whole loaf made specifically for me. I believe Chris's account of His mother's not just because it was coming from a son but because he being a believer in Christ gave an accurate account of her person, a loving and devoted wife and mother.
Heavens rejoice at the arrival of her beautiful soul.
Rest in peace. May God comfort your loved ones here till the great reunion.

Chris, Erica, Elizabeth, and Jacob, I´m sorry for this great loss. Marcy was the first member of the family I met, even before meeting the person who would make me a member of it a few years later. She always had a smile and a kind word for me, and the light of the world will be dimmer without her here. Sending you love and wishes for strength as you navigate this challenging time.
