Tanya Poynter Obituary

Poynter (Moyer), Tanya Kay

Tanya Kay Poynter (Moyer) Age 74, of Naples FL, formally of Brookville OH, passed away peacefully on January 14th 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandparent, and sister, Tanya is proceeded in death by her parents John and Pauline Moyer and Grandson Noah Evans. She is survived by her husband David Poynter, son Sean (Raenell) Poynter and daughter Cara (Jason) Haas, grandchildren Mitchell and Matthew Poynter, Ava Evans and Gabe Kelly-Poynter as well as brothers John (Jane) Moyer, Blake Moyer, Phillip (Christine) Moyer, and sister Molly (Joe) Mellon.

After graduation from Northmont HS, Tanya attended nursing school at Sinclair Community College. Tanya was a long-time dedicated nurse for Good Sam Hospital, improving the lives of every patient she encountered.

Tanya's greatest love was for her family and friends. She always made time to love and support her children, grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews at games, meets and other events and activities. Tanya also enjoyed traveling with David and family, enjoying several overseas trips and Disney World vacations with family and friends.

Tanya was a kind, loving and devoted person who had a strong and enduring faith in God. She will always and forever be remembered for her love and kindness to anyone fortunate enough to know her.

The family is planning a private burial service at Eversole Cemetery in New Lebanon, Ohio. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends at a date that will soon be announced.

Tanya didn't need a last name, everyone knew Tanya was Tanya.

i worked with tanya at gsh and she was a speical person always loving and kind to everyone. she was a speical friend and well as a nurse to work with. we had lots of good times at get togethers and parties. she was such a special person and i will always remember her with loving kindness as she was so kind to everyone. my sympathy to all her family. god bless
