Viola Myers Obituary

Myers (Brunk), Viola Mae

Viola Mae (Brunk) Myers, age 84 of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Danbury of Huber Heights. Viola loved spending time with her family, especially her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many years ago, Viola sold Fuller Brush Products. She attended various churches in the area where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She also volunteered for over 5 years at Englewood Manor and baked cookies for the residents. Viola was a faithful "Prayer Warrior" and loved reading and being outside. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ben and Brenda Myers, daughters and son-in-law: Elaine and Bill Edwards, Cynthia Garverick, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years: Galen Myers, parents: John and Alice (Shisler) Brunk, sister and brother-in-law: Mary Ellen and Russell Strome, and son-in-law: James Garverick. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Danbury of Huber Heights and to Day City Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Viola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Englewood. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Day City Hospice.
