Gordin, Barbara J. "Barb", 75, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hearth and Home El Camino, also in Springfield. She fought a valiant battle with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma, that originated on her beautiful face in August 2022, then aggressively spread to her lymph node in the abdomen region. Her fierce determination and indescribably strong will gave her the "warrior like" strength it took to fight this grueling battle, which lasted 2-1/2 long and often painful years. Barb was the first-born child of Patricia "Pat" and William "Bill" Burke, as well as the older sister to Mike, Gloria, Sheila, and Colleen. She married her husband, Steve, on August 6, 1966, and gave birth to three daughters, Stephanie, Angie, and Addie. She later became "bonus Mom" to Lindsay as well. Barb was a devoted employee of the USPS for 35+ years, honorable position of Wilberforce, Ohio Post Office, where she proudly served 30+ years as their Postmaster, before eventually retiring. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Steve Gordin; parents, Pat and Bill Burke; and sister, Sheila Flack (Todd Johnson). Surviving family members include three daughters, Stephanie (Oliver) Teske, Angie (Brad) Tasseff and Addie (John) Eben; immediate family members, Mike (Emma) Burke, Gloria Burke McNelly and Colleen (Chris) Roberts; Gram to Lindsay, Meagan, Haley, Katie, and Alex; Gigi to Kayson, Alana, Frazier, Camden, Calli, Reese, Ender, Arlo, Audrey, and Bradley; bonus & special "Barb/Barbie" to Matt, Alyssa, McKenna, & Cooper Roberts, and Erica, Richard, Kate, and Max Ryan. The family is respectfully granting Barb's final wish to not have a memorial service of any type. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
