Mr. Avera was a good client for many years but more than that, he was a good friend. He was always cheerful despite his health problems. A true gentleman. He will be missed.

Dear Miss Jane, Matt & Rosemary: Just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all right now. What wonderful memories I have of our families in Fort Valley when we were all a lot younger! Mom and Dad and Steve and John and their families all live in Vidalia now. They send their condolences as well. Love to you all.

We were so sorry to hear of this news via my mother in Fort Valley. Scott went to school with Matt and says he always saw him at the GA-FLA games. I remember Matt and Rosemary from growing up in Fort Valley. I also recall that Mr. Punk and "Miss" Jane were so kind to come to my grandmother's funeral in Thomaston (Ruth Reid). Mr. Avera was an extremely intelligent, kind and respected man by all who knew him. He will be missed greatly by many. You may not recognize my married name but I'm Olen Reid's daughter, Renee.
