Margaret Walker Obituary

HODGENVILLE WALKER, MARGARET ELMA MALONE, age 89 years, of Hodgenville, died Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. This native of Marion County was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hodgenville, and was a retired school teacher with the Jefferson County School System, also having taught in Marion County and Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Walker; her parents, Alfred and Mary Abigail Benningfield Malone; and a brother, William Harold "W.H." Malone. She is survived by seven sisters, Mary Agnita Payne Cerniglia, Sister Alfreda Malone, and Judy Hamilton all of Louisville, Dorothy Borders of Evansville, IN, Geneva Adams of Bardstown, Aretha Reckley of California, and Wanda D'Angelo of Boston, KY; and two brothers, Joseph Clellan Malone and John Robert Malone both of Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hodgenville with Father Mike Tobin officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery in Marion County. Visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia. Condolences may also be expressed online at www.dixon-rogers.com. Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of the arrangements.
