Diane Marie Carroll

Diane Marie Carroll, 57, of Lufkin, was born December 19, 1949, in Freeport, Illinois, and she passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Carroll and her husband have owned and operated the automobile repair service, "Mechanic On Wheels," for more than 10 years. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to cook, and enjoyed being around people. She enjoyed fishing and spending time in the outdoors. Mrs. Carroll was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Carroll of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Larry Goodwin, and Heather and Shaun Butler, all of Lufkin; stepdaughter and husband, Brandy and Ken Brown of Nacogdoches; sister, Kathleen Jones of College Station; grandchildren, Kara James, Kelsey James and Elizabeth Diane Goodwin; and nieces and nephews, Michelle Cooley, Charles Peyton and Katy Jones. Preceding Mrs. Carroll in death were her son, Michael Scroggins; her parents, Eddie and Shirley Dollens; and her father, Maurice Dyslin. Pallbearers will be Charles Peyton, Larry Goodwin, Shaun Butler, Jay Cooley, Harry Reed and Doug Friday. Graveside services for Mrs. Carroll will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend Bud Bonner officiating.
