Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let you and your family and friends know that we have made a small donation to The Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor and remember David K. Fribley US Marine Lance Corporal.
We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

David was a student of mine for two years at WCHS. What a great young man! I think of him often. My heart is still heavy with grief, but I know he died doing what he knew was right. I wear a "Heroes Bracelet" with his name, rank, date of death, and service branch quite often.
RIP, Marine

I was six feet from Lance Cpl. Fribley on March 23, 2003. I will never forget his name or the sacrifice he and our other brothers made on that day. It has been seven years now, but I still remember that day like no other in my life. To his family, know that your son was outstanding and was a true hard charging Marine.

Father we entrust our brother David to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold David in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathies.

To the Fribley family,
I know there are no words to say, except how sorry I am for your loss. May you hold Davids' memory in your heart and please remember he shall never be forgotten.
...For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed.
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

I've known Dave since he was in 2nd grade at Atwood, and on throught high school in Warsaw. It saddened my when I heard the news of his passing, and still tugs at my heart to this day.
I've moved to Virginia, just outside DC, and will forever remember his smiling face whenever I pass the Marine Corp Museum and Arlington National Cemetary. I will say a special prayer for Dave at the Fallen Heroes Memorial.
David, Bless you for the sacrifice of your life in order for those of us here at home to remain safe. You went in with your heart, and I'm sure your parents are VERY proud of you for that...I know that I am. Thank you Marine, watch those Pearly Gates, and let only the honorable in.Semper Fi Devil Dog.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

I went to highschool with David, he was always caring. I remember one night during my volleyball match I fractured my ankle and David came out of the stands still wearing his football practice clothes and carried me to the locker room. Little actions like these are acts of kindness he always displayed. Anyone who had the honor to fight along his side was blessed to be in the presence of a remarkable young man. To his family I think of you often, I remember seeing all of your faces at our volleyball and softball games, my prayers are with you always.

As an active member of the U.S. Navy. I am constantly reminded of the dangers, the sacrifices, and hardships we all endure, but every single person that pays the ultimate sacrifice upon the altar of freedom that we as Americans enjoy every day, I am both saddened and supremely proud of their great love for country and humanity. To you that are survived my heart and unending gratititude go out to you, and although I never knew your son, I do know that he is a real HERO!

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!
