Dorothy Scroggins

Funeral for Dorothy Scroggins, 87, of Kilgore will be at 10 a.m. today, at Forest Home Baptist Church, Tyler, with the Rev. Earl "Buddy" Duggins officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches. Mrs. Scroggins died Oct. 2, 2007, in a Longview hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1920, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edna Gunn. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Home Baptist Church. She was married to Elton Scroggins, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Glenda Ward of Kilgore and Norma Gibbs of Deer Park; stepdaughter, Mildred Rhinehart of Austin; sister, Edna Earl Price of Purdon; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
