Dear Martin & Vanesse,
Martin I am so sorry for your loss of your father. This has hit me close to home for my father, Richard Hawkins also just passed away in Sept. He was just a year younger than your father and was retired at Lakeway.
What we know is that they both had a full life. Are we not grateful for that.

All of us in the San Antonio Office of Taylor Publishing Company send our prayers to the family of Mr. Hamilton. He was a fine leader of our company. I was so honored to be a guest in his home for dinner in Galveston a few years ago. He will be missed.

From the entire Houston Office of Taylor Publishing Company, please accept our deepest sympathies to you & your family. As the founder of our office, Mr. Hamilton exhibited the traits of an outstanding leader, salesperson and a consummate gentleman. Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton hosted our office for dinner in Galveston about 9 years ago and it was an evening I will never forget. I feel so blessed to have met them both.

Dear Betty:
I remember, beginning at an early age, hearing often about "Martin Hamilton" and "Martin and Betty Hamilton." It was about building a publishing company to make school yearbooks and about meeting the school kids and teaching them to plan their books so that they would be proud of them in later years. And it was about friends working together to make the company grow into the largest one of its kind. Edgar (E.M.) was my step-father, and I remember you and Martin were there every step of the way. Thank you for helping to make that happen!
You and Martin have done so much for so many people through the years. I learned about some of those things in reading about Martin's amazing life. Dr. James Guckian (Jim, or Potsie," as the med students called him at UTMB Galveston) might have been a friend of his and of yours, too. He is married to my husband's niece, and I will be sure to tell him of Martin's passing when I see him this week. I know that you and your family will miss Martin dearly.
Sincerely,

We were very sorry to learn of Great Uncle Martin's passing. He was so very dear to grandmother. He and Betty made such a difference in her life. He was a very generous gentleman!
