ADKINS (Hillsman), Louise Age 83 of Dayton, Ohio, passed over Sunday, February 24, 2008 in Shreveport, LA following a brief illness. A member of the Dunbar Alumni Assoc.; Life member of VFW Post 3808; Amber Court No. 65 Daughters of Isis and New Birth Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Edgar & Lizzie (Simmons) Brown, Husband, Boyd C. Adkins II, Sister Cornelia Taylor, Step-daughter, Terry Adkins. Survivors: Son, Boyd C. Adkins III, Shreveport, LA; daughters, Marcella Martin, Linda Hillsman Adkins, Dayton; Step-son & daughter, Darryl Adkins and Antoinette (Dean) Martin of Dayton; Grandchildren, Terrance Hillsman, Storme Adkins, Boyd C. Adkins IV, Tina, Teren & Tamara Martin, Quiana Adkins; 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, Sister Marie Garrison, 1 brother-in-law, Frank (Patsy) Adkins; other relatives and friends. Funeral services 11AM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Faith Vision Baptist Church, 4769 Free Pike, Dayton, OH. Rev. T. H. McFarland Jr. officiating. Visitation 9-11AM. Amber Court 65 Memorial Service 10AM, VFW Post 3808 10:30 AM. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens. Services respectfully rendered by H.H. Roberts.

Aunt Louise, I'll miss you so much. You were always so wise and thoughtful. I really enjoyed our last few talks before you left. I know you were tired and needed rest. Marcella, Linda and Junie, your memories of your mother will always be in your heart and know she loved you all more than you'll ever know.
