Lucille Slade-Davis Obituary

BROWNS MILLS, N.J. - Lucille V. Slade-Davis, 74, a resident of Browns Mills, N.J., passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, N.J.
Born in Warwick County, Va., she had been a resident of Browns Mills, N.J., since 1974.
'Pie,' as she was fondly referred to by her family and close friends, was the daughter of the late William H. Slade Sr. and Florence Slade, and the widow of the late Lawrence T. Davis.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are her son, Terence Davis of Columbus, Ohio; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Marguerite and Jeffrey Dunbar of Virginia Beach, Va., Regina Oakman of Hampton, Va., Norita and Kevin Northington of Memphis, Tenn., and Samantha Davis-Swint of Browns Mills, N.J., and her fiancE, Norman Conquest, of Lorton, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Davis of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers-in-law of Virginia and one brother-in-law of Texas; two special sons of Hampton, Va.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Albert and Linda Slade of Hampton, Va., William H. Slade Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Linwood and Blendell Slade of Chatham, Va.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Wynder of Hampton, Va., and Eva Louise and Vernon L. Hodge Sr. of Browns Mills, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Hampton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
