Troy,
Life was never mundane for you; every event in your journey was epic. The melodious strains of Metallica at reveille were more to you than merely a head-banger's high; it was for you a warrior's call to join the fray.
There was no such thing in football as "just a tackle or a block." Every play on the gridiron was seared into your imagination as your full body sacrifice to the 150 lb. football gods, which you would depict to everyone hours later in technicolor detail (complete with 6 Million Dollar Man sound effects), as though it were a battle scene from "300."
Even today I think of you while my 9 year old son, who posesses your same warrior's spirit, regales me with his epic tales of athletic conquest on the field.
I have fond memories of you as plebe roommates along with Calvin Hines, as well as you traveling to Texas after graduation for my wedding. I can't think of anyone who epitomized more the spirit of West Point. You were a Dirt Pig, a warrior, a comedian and a friend. Thank you for the memories.

Troy, we'll all miss you very much. Even now, almost 20 years later, I vividly remember your "gopher face", your three stooges impersonations, and many other things that were so funny. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. God bless,

Troy,
I am so sorry to hear of your passing. It is certainly a tragic loss for all of us, as your friendship, wit, and contributions to all that were in contact with you will be sorely missed. You were always willing to lend a hand, and always had a smile, joke, or positive comment to lighten the mood and brighten the day.
Go Moose.

Troy,
It was a sad day when we found out that you weren't going to be around to bring some levity to the next time some of us got together for a drink. All of the Creeds miss you and recall your hijinks on cadet weekends with a warm fondness. Be thou at peace.

Troy,
I’ll miss you and never forget the way you made life easier at West Point with a joke and a smile and an impersonation or two. In the couple times we’d gotten together since school, it was always comforting to see that your face still folded easily into a smile, and that while your jokes hadn’t gotten any better with time…it was impossible not laugh along with you. You constantly reminded us that there is humor and joy in nearly everything.
A great warrior and friend, your Mother and kids should be so very proud of all you’ve to given to us and to this country. We’ll keep you and your family in our prayers.
Godspeed Fabes.
Go Moose.
