MILLEN, Ga. Geneva Cochran Sharpe, age 79, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Bethany Nursing Center. She was born in Jenkins County, was a homemaker, and a Baptist. Survivors include her three daughters, Faye Ferguson and Shannon Raffield both of Barnwell, S.C., and Vickie Perryman of Sylvania; three sons, Jimmy Cochran and Craig Burke both of Millen, and Al Sharpe, Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be Will Burke, Quin Sharpe, III, Alan Sikes, Steven Ford, Kenny Bassett, and Keith Cooper. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery. I am so sorry to hear of Miss Geneva's passing. I just learned of her passing and I regret not knowing sooner. I have thought of her often. Just remember we'll walk across heaven with her one day.
