Virginia B. Rich

Virginia B. Rich, 86, of Eastbrook Road died the morning of Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Jameson Hospital.She was born May 27, 1922 in New Castle. She was a daughter of the late Nick and Anna Perine Rainey.She was married to Ralph E. Rich Sr., who died on July 8, 2005.Mrs. Rich was a homemaker.She worked at her family-owned business, Rich and Freed Auto Parts, as a bookkeeper for more than 40 years.Mrs. Rich loved cooking, baking and being with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of various leagues for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph E. Jr. and Amy Rich of Hubbard; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene A. and David Genareo of New Castle; and two grandsons, Ralph Rich and Andrew Rich, both of Hubbard.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Rainey, William Rainey, Angel Rainey and Clyde Rainey; and five sisters, Alma Fulton, Matilda Perod, Mary Lombardo, Viola Conti and Mildred Bailey.Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for St. Vincent de Paul Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rev.
