Ralph "Jack" Kifer

Ralph Don "Jack" Kifer, 86, of Stillwater, Okla., died on Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Stillwater. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with The Rev. Stanley M. Warfield Jr. officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.He was born on Sept. 14, 1922, in Stonewall, Okla., to Roy E. Kifer and Rosie Mae (Allen) Kifer. He married Lula Maye Partridge on Dec. 25, 1951, in Las Cruces, N.M.He attended school in Cushing, Okla. When he left school he went to work for C. C. Camp until he decided to join the U.S. Army. He served in the Army for eight years. After his discharge from the Army he returned to Cushing and went to work for Bradley Plumbing. He later went to work for Oklahoma State University in the dorms and veterinary medicine department as a maintenance man.Jack was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 2089 since 1972. He obtained his Pilgrim Degree in May of 1995. This is the highest degree in the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Glen Kifer and Raymond Kifer. He is survived by his wife, Lula Maye, of Stillwater, Okla.; four sons, Billy M. Kifer and his wife, Laurie, of Stillwater, Okla., Ralph Don Kifer Jr. and his wife, Chloeta, of Woodward, Okla., Gary Wayne Kifer and his wife, Dolly, of Cushing, Okla., and Dana A. Kifer and his wife, Carri, of Stillwater, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; and one sister, Billie Dean, and her husband Pete Stimson of Granite, Okla.Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
