GARY — J. Elaine Andrigo, age 77, of Gary, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Welch Community Hospital, following a long illness. Born August 18, 1931, in Jenkinjones, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Helen McCormick Goodman.She was a resident of Gary the greater part of her life. She was of the Protestant faith, and she was retired from Best Furniture Company in Welch. She will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her husband, Steve Andrigo; one daughter, Theresa Williams; and two sisters, Jackie Trebes and Joyce LaFon.Survivors include one daughter, Helen Marie Pendry and husband Doug of Wilcoe; two sons, Steven Michael Andrigo and wife Helena of Gary, Andrew Joseph Andrigo and wife Sandy of Welch; one brother, William M. Goodman of Bluefield, Va.; one sister, Anita Farmer of Montcalm; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with the Rev. Randall Dority officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.Friends may call Friday, April 17, 2009 at the funeral home, from 6 to 8 p.m.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Fanning Funeral Home of Welch is serving the Andrigo family.To leave personal condolences online, visit www.legacy.com
