Corey James Simonette

Corey James Simonette, age 34 of Le Sueur, died at home unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday, May 18, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will continue from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Le Sueur. Corey was born on November 19, 1974, to Denis and Gloria (Meger) Simonette in New Prague, Minnesota. He attended St. Anne's school and graduated from Le Sueur-Henderson High School in 1993. He married Tiffany Moore on August 26, 2006, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. He was involved with Ducks Unlimited, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsmen. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Corey will always be remembered for his infectious smile and heart of gold. He is survived by his wife, Tiffany; parents, Denis and Gloria Simonette of Le Sueur, MN; siblings, Denis Jr. (Susan) Simonette of Cleveland, MN, Wade (fiancé, Mandy Knish) Simonette of Henderson, MN, and Teri Simonette of North Mankato, MN; nieces and nephews, Haylee Moore, Isabella Richmond, Brittany Liebhard, Nick and Tanner Simonette, and Porter Simonette; grandparents, Clayton and Jackie Simonette of Le Center, MN, and Bertha Meger of St. Thomas, MN; parents-in-law, John Sr. and Betty Moore of Akeley, MN; brother and sister-in-law, John Jr. Moore of Le Sueur, and Jamie Richmond of Akeley; He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Emil Meger.
