Florence Mae Parman

Florence Mae Parman was born Oct. 11, 1918, in Laurel County, the daughter ofHenderson and Nancy Whitaker Parman.She is survived by four nephews, Lonnie, Ricky and Darrell Parman, all of Louisville, and Larry Parman, of London; five nieces, Phyllis Bullock, Wanda McCaney and Wilma Stewart, all of Beaver Dam, Ky., Geraldine Tooley, of Centertown, Ky., and Janice Chaney, of London; a sister-in-law, Hazel Parman, of Louisville; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maude Bingham; and two brothers, Estil and John Parman.Mrs. Parman was an excellent seamstress and babysitter, and a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Cromwell, Ky.She departed this life at the Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center on Saturday, May 23, 2009.Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Morgan officiating. Burial followed in the Whittaker Cemetery in Laurel County.
