Hilda M. Haack

Hilda M. Haack 95, of York, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at York. She was born December 8, 1913 to the late Wilhelm Carl and Bertha Elizabeth (Lutz) Haack at rural Cordova. Over the years Hilda worked for Haack Supply, was a dispatcher for Yellow Cab, worked at Holland House, Tiffen & Duncan's Cafe, and at York Laundry.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Dorthy Haack of York; four nephews whom she considered her family: The Reverend Lon Haack of San Francisco, Randy Haack of Greeley, Colo., Bill Haack of Columbus, and Dennis Haack of York. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Burial will be held at 3 p.m.Thursday in Zastrow Cemetery, Cordova. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Hour, Lutheran Bible Translators, Emmanuel Lutheran Church or York Adopt-A-Pet. Metz Mortuary, York, is handling arrangements.
