Betty Jean Wilkins

Betty Jean Wilkins, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Friday evening, July 17, 2009, at Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 5, 1924, in Terre Haute, to Harold and Hazel (Pullium) Dennis. Betty did photography in her earlier years, and later retired from Montgomery Wards. She loved to needle point and crochet. She is survived by two children, Edwin Wilkins and wife Traudie of Terre Haute, and Karen Niece and husband Ronnie of Brazil; grandchildren, Mike and Cassie Wilkins, Chris, Tracy, and Ronnie Niece, Tammy Waggle, and Robin Lore; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Wilkins; and her sister, Helen Haton. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 1 p.m. until services Tuesday.
