MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Sarah Ruth Davis Barbery, age 71, of 481 Bay Harbour Road, Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009 at a Huntersville, N.C. nursing home.Born on December 6, 1937 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Little Davis. She had been a resident of Mooresville for 12 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Beaver High School and National Business College and worked as a computer programmer in Greensboro.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Dickens and Judy Davis.Survivors include her husband,Paul S. Barbery of the home; one son, Kevin Barbery of Mooresville, N.C.; one brother, Frank Davis, Jr. of Bluewell; two sisters-in-law, Mayne Hopkins of Logan and Edwina Evans of Logan; three nephews, Michael Barbery of Manassas, Va., David Barbery of Dallas, Va., Paul Dickens of Sanford, N.C.; two nieces, Ann Austin of Sanford, N.C., Michelle Berry of Atlanta, Ga.Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. D. Homer Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.Friends may call on Monday from 10:00-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.Online condolences may be left by visiting www.cravens-shires.comCravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Barbery family.
