David A. Depue

CHARDON — David A. Depue, age 73, of Forest Ridge, Sheffield Township, died Monday, August 3, 2009, at the University Hospitals Extended Care Campus, Chardon, Ohio.He was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Brocton, N.Y., the son of Donald and Georgia (Fredrickson) Depue.He was a graduate of Harbor High School and attended Mt. Union College and was a veteran of the Army in the late 1950's. He had been employed as an account planner for Smurfitt Stone (Stone Container) until his retirement in 1998.He enjoyed golfing and traveling.Surviving him are his wife, Kathryn (Parmer) Depue whom he married Dec. 28, 1957; a son, David Jonathan (Kim) Depue of Conneaut; three grandchildren, Ethan, Hunter and Hannah; a brother, Ronald (Nora) Depue of Virginia; and four sisters, Karen (Doug) Alley of Anita, Pa., Phyllis Keto of Painesville, Ohio, Frances Bratcher of Canton, Ohio and Mary (John) Piszker of Punxsutawney, Pa.Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
