Billye June Clark

The memorial service for Billye June Clark, 86, Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Larry Quinton officiating. Burial will be in Hoffman Cemetery, Hoffman, Okla. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.Billye was born June 1, 1923, in Hoffman, the daughter of Silver Dickerson and Leo Ora Patton Peters, and died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her home.Billye was raised and educated in Hoffman, where she graduated from Hoffman High School. She lived in Chattanooga, Tenn., Fort Pierce, Fla., Oxnard, Calif., and Okmulgee, Okla. Billye married Howard Lee Parker in Chattanooga on Aug. 5, 1942. In December 1945, they moved to Oklahoma City, then to Aiken, S.C. She lived in Albuquerque, N.M., for five years, moving to Phoenix, where she lived three years before returning to Albuquerque.Billye married A.M. (Max) Clark in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1987. She moved to El Paso, Texas, where she lived three years, and from Marietta, Ga., she moved to Enid to be close to her son.Billye is survived by her son, Mike and wife Bea Parker of Enid; daughter, Carolyn Sue and husband David Waldrop of Marietta; two brothers, Earl Peters of Las Vegas and Ed Allen Peters of Okmulgee; and grandchildren, Nikki Chisum, Brian and Tyler Waldrop.Billye was preceded in death by both husbands, Howard Parker in 1996 and A.M. Clark in 1987, two sisters, three brothers and granddaughter, Becky Lynn Parker.Memorials may be made in Billye's memory to Our Daily Bread with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
