News Death Notice

DeWEESE, Lloyd Age 91 of Tipp City, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009. He was born June 22, 1918, in Piqua, Oh, to Lynn & Mary DeWeese. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Marilyn (Langston) DeWeese. He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law James & Cyndde DeWeese- Butler, Oh; daughter and son-in-law DeeAnn & Jim Hench- Tipp City; grandchildren Jeremy Hench (Heather)-Troy, Kristen Dilbone (Kevin)-New Carlisle, Abram DeWeese-Mansfield, Renata Houston (Mike)-Mansfield; 7 great grandchildren; brother Lynn DeWeese, Jr.-Englewood; sisters Marilynn McNulty- Brookville, Dorothy Knarr-Cincinnati, Lois Payne- Tulsa, Ok; special friends Dave & Rhonda Lemons, Margie DeHays. After graduating from Piqua High School, Mr. DeWeese worked as a tool & die maker until after World War II when he formed his own contracting company. For many years his company was involved in engineering and constructing underground utility projects, paving projects, and custom construction design projects. L.J. DeWeese Co. is now a fourth-generation company that just celebrated its 54th year in business. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and woodworking and sharing his many talents with his family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Rev. Ed Ellis will officiate with interment following at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday at Hale-Sarver. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the charity of ones choice.
