Ronald D. "R.D." Garren, Jr., 43, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 6:06 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.He was born in Mt. Vernon on Monday, March 28, 1966, a son of Ronald D., Sr. and Patricia (Cameron) Garren. He married Cris L. Warren on Sept. 1, 1990, at Boyd Christian Church in Boyd.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boyd Cemetery in Boyd with Mr. Jim Watts and Mr. Rodney Mellott officiating. Interment will follow.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.R.D. is survived by his wife, Cris L. Garren of Mt. Vernon; parents, Ronnie and Patricia Garren of Woodlawn; a son, Clint Garren of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Katie Garren of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Tyson Garren and wife Jeane of Virginia; an aunt, Marsha Dodson of Mt. Vernon; and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Ann Garren of Centralia.His maternal grandmother, Ruby Lisenby, and his paternal grandmother, Cora Garren, preceded him in death.R.D. worked at Holtz Tool Supply in Mt. Vernon and later was a truck driver for P.C. Rescue in Mt.
